About The Event
Our June 22 Songwriter Showcase will feature Jud Caswell, April Reed-Cox, Karen Gray and Carolyn Currie. April is a fantastically talented cellist and songwriter who has performed nationally with symphonies, string bands and songwriters. Karen is a wonderful writer with the voice of an angel and songs that welcome you with genuine slices of life and playful flights of fancy. She is the past winner of the Maine Songwriting Association's Songwriting Contest. Carolyn is a spellbinding performer with a luminous voice and a string of successes and accolades too long to list - stretching from the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas to California's High Sierra Folk Festival. Her haunting songs will carry you away! Our host, Jud Caswell, is another award-winning songwriter and staple of the Maine folk scene. Jud's recent "Live at the Seagull Shop" record was a #1 album of the month on the Folk Alliance International Radio Charts.
