About The Event
Rigby Summer weaves an Americana soundscape that reflects the road she’s traveled, from her Kansas City jazz upbringing to the beach pop of her former home in southern California to the red dirt roots of her current home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. While her influences range from Mary Chapin Carpenter to The Frames, Sia Furler to Johnny Cash, her sound often draws comparisons to Brandi Carlile and Lucinda Williams—a little modern, a little old-fashioned, always earnest. In 2017, after a five-year hiatus from performing music, she founded the Monday @ Modella songwriter pop-up and the ALL MUSIC STARTS LOCAL initiative and started sharpening her musical teeth, slowly carving a niche for herself in the Oklahoma scene. Since then, she has had the privilege of sharing the stage with and learning from a myriad of local and touring artists. In Fall 2020 she produced a short cover EP "Dancing Alone" with Kyle Reid, which was released in November. Production is now complete on her first full-length album “Geography," recorded at Naptime Studio in Norman, Oklahoma, with Kyle Reid at the helm.
SARA TRUNZO is an independant singer-songwriter, community organizer (co-founder of Veggies For All and Waldo County Bounty), and creator and host of “Country & Northeastern” on WERU Community Radio. Lonesome Highway said her last record, Cabin Fever Dream, was “loaded with truly touching lyrics and provide[s] a glimpse of an unquestionably talented artist.” Trunzo has collaborated with Darrell Scott and Mary Gauthier, shared stages with the likes of Suzy Bogguss and Carlene Carter, played venues such as The Bluebird, Rockwood Music Hall, and Club Passim. She has been a Joseph A. Fiore fellow, a Music to Life juried artist, and has received honors from Maine Songwriters Association, International Acoustic Music Awards, New England Songwriting Competition, and Tennessee Songwriters Week Competition. Singer/songwriter, Doug Kolmar, explores the beauty and trouble of our inner and outer worlds with compassion, wit, and insight. His decades-long musical journey has been a winding one, with detours through multiple modes of expression that continue to provide a unique color to the simple, direct songs he has been sharing with audiences for the past twenty-plus years. Doug has released four full-length solo albums and his songs have been recognized with awards from The Music to Life Foundation, International Acoustic Music Awards, American Songwriter, and Maine Songwriters Association. Originally from the NYC suburbs, Doug has been living the Maine life since 2002. More at http://www.dougkolmarmusic.com
