About The Event
Mike Stackhouse - A tribute performance
Sadly, after a short illness, Mike Stackhouse passed peacefully on March 6, 2024. Mike was a true Mainer and a natural singer, songwriter, and entertainer. He performed uncommon covers, originals from his Big Ol' Maine Heart and Pushin' on the Pull Door CDs and many old favorites. He will be missed by his family, his fans and the Maine music community.
We have assembled a band including some who have recorded music with Mike and some who are familiar with his music to perform select songs from Mike's most recent CD, Pushing the Pull Door, for an evening's tribute to Mike Stackhouse.
The band will include:
- Scott Elliot - bass
- Tim Myers - drums
- Nelson Checkoway - pedal steel guitar & organ
- Troy Bennett - guitar and vocals
- and some special guests...
Alan Bean, who worked with Mike to record Pushing the Pull Door, will assist with the musical production.
All proceeds from the ticket sales at this event will be contributed to Nadya Pearson, Mike's wife. Attendees are welcome to make additional contributions as well.
While this will be a sad evening, we will come together to celebrate the life and music of our special friend, Mike Stackhouse. Please join us.
