Memphis Lightning was born out of tradition with a pedigree second to none.  Having played with the Blues Legend Eddie "Blues Man" Kirkland, Memphis Lightning are the real deal.  Their energetic performances will bring you back to the days when the Jukejoints were rockin' and the Blues was King.  So bring a friend, roll back the rug and get on the floor...Memphis Lightning is in the House.

Made up of Darren Lightning Thiboutot Jr on the guitar and vocals.  Lightning has been hand in hand with the blues, a cancer survivor, a showman, and a truly gifted musician.

Having played with Buddy Guy, Big Sandy, Eddie Kirkland, Marty Sammon, and Tab Benoit, among others.

Big Red Thiboutot Sr on the bass, and sometimes back there on the drums, Big Red is a Grammy Nominated musician who has played, toured, and/or recorded with artists such as Eddie Kirkland, Kenny Neal, Lazy Lester, Pinetop Perkins, Hoo Doo Kings, Lucky Peterson, Colleen Sexton, GE Smith, Tab Benoit, among many others.  Regarded as the king of groove, Big Red is one of the best around, grooving on the drums, or laying it out on the bass.

And a revolving cast of characters, we are blessed to have some of the best musicians around to fill the 3rd spot, including Steve Reny, Lance Burpee, and Scott Morrison, among many others!
