About The Event
The next Blues on Sunday Quartet show will feature a phenomenal guest: guitarist, singer and songwriter Lance McCollum from Austin, Texas. A Berklee School of Music grad and one-time guitarist with Boston’s legendary blues woman Shirley Lewis, Lance is gifted with songs, voice & instruments that have taken him from New England to Austin to San Diego and Europe. He’s played legendary venues and events from Austin’s Continental Club to the Texas Jazz Festival and even logged an appearance at a Presidential Inaugural Ball in Washington DC! A prolific composer, Lance has produced radio jingles and commercials and once served as the musical director of the San Diego Chargers Power Hour Television Show.
Lance will be bringing his deep love of blues, Americana and country music to round out a Blues on Sunday foursome featuring regulars Nelson Checkoway on piano and organ, Per Hanson on drums and harmonica and Steve Norris (who last joined us on Arthur Neilson’s October 2022 appearance) on bass.
