Blues on Sunday Quartet with special guest John Lackard!
The next Blues on Sunday Quartet show will feature a tremendous guest performer and recording artist who hails from the Green Mountain state: guitarist, harmonica player and singer John Lackard!
Extensive touring along the eastern seaboard led to a stint with 1960s “Wooly Bully” hit maker, Sam the Sham, and invitations to sit in with a who’s-who of the blues, including James Cotton, Jimmy Rogers and Bob Margolin. Lackard has played countless shows supporting Cotton, Rogers and other blues luminaries, prompting Rogers to declare “That boy kicks the hell out of the Blues!” while Cotton simply stated “The Blues is in Vermont!”
John will dig into his Green Mountain brand of the blues to round out a Blues on Sunday foursome featuring regulars Nelson Checkoway on piano and organ, Per Hanson on drums and harmonica and Steve Norris on bass.
