About The Event
Marina Albero is a renowned pianist and composer, originally from Barcelona and currently based in New Orleans. From a young age, she was immersed in the world of music, performing with her family around the globe and exploring Iberian and early music traditions.
She began her formal musical education at the Conservatory of Barcelona (El Bruc), later continuing her studies in Havana, Cuba, where she completed her classical piano training under the guidance of Professor Teresa Junco.
Albero’s versatility shines through in her ability to blend a wide range of musical genres, including jazz, flamenco, early music, and Afro-Cuban rhythms. This eclectic mix has shaped a distinctive and deeply personal musical language.
She has collaborated with acclaimed artists and ensembles such as L’Arpeggiata, Chano Domínguez, Pepe Habichuela, among many others, contributing to both live performances and high-quality recordings.
